About This Website
This site started out because I fly model helicopters in Hastings, and when learning it helps to fly in winds below 10mph. Our field is exposed and near the sea, so it helps to know what the weather like! The mew position of the weather station which moved from the town centre to The Ridge in September 2010 has the anemometer at 410 Feet above sea level, and the main unit at 408Feet. Latitude 50° 88'N Longitude 0° 59'E.
Records started on the first of July 2001 and is hoped that the site will become a reference point for Hastings weather.
